A cask strength bottling of Clynelish from Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, Wm. Cadenhead.
The Authentic Collection was launched by Wm. Cadenhead’s in 1991, and was a range of whiskies from closed Irish distilleries, bottled for the company’s 150th anniversary. It would later go on to become a mainstay of their portfolio, as the cask strength alternative to the Original Collection, which replaced their famous “dumpy” bottlings in the early 1990s. The Authentic Collection is now the flagship Cadenhead’s brand, and one of the most recognisable independent labels on the market.
Clynelish distillery as it is recognised today, was built in 1967 to replace the smaller distillery next-door, which was the original site of that name. The first distillery was closed, but later re-opened, changing its name to Brora
